Emerson was the perfect place to raise a family. But when a young woman is murdered in the elite part of town, people start wondering about their neighbors. Eden was partying with 3 teens before her death. Hannah (a sweet, troubled girl), Jack (a possible violent history), and Christopher (new to town and desperate to fit in).
Author Amedon’s prose is perfect for the book. Descriptive with a hint of irony, it hits the mark on social values and elitism. Scenery descriptions are unique and lovely, such as: “…Hopperesque figure sat encased in bulletproof glass.”
After a prologue that leaves me wondering where it will end up, the 1st chapter starts with a description of the parents of the 3 suspects. The multiple points of view will be interesting to follow. I really want to read this book!
