Overall, I thought that this novel has a decent start. There's a good sense of atmosphere with this richie part of town and a slight sense of tension. I especially thought the section about Danielle learning of her daughter's death was both touching and really added to the overall tension. However, I feel like this tension fell a little too abruptly when it shifted to Celia's perspective. Still, I think the shifts between so many different perspectives were handled well. Ultimately, I wasn't instantly grabbed by this narrative, but I can still see myself getting into the mystery as it goes along.
