I am impressed that the excerpt and the cover of Locust Lane was paired so finely, like a meal and a good glass of wine that match perfectly. Just as the summary of the book speaks about how the town is like any other affluent New England suburb, the cover photo is taken from high in the air, as you would look at any house or area in that manner. But, the difference begin when a murder occurs, something outside the norm of what one expects to happen just as the headlights of the car in the cover appear on, yet it is not dark enough for them to be recognizable. And, just as the car is searching for answers so are those who want to solve the death of Eden Perry. Everyone mentioned seems to have motivations in this story and I expect it to be a book someone could not easily put down, once they pick it up. The cover just makes me want to get in my favorite, cushy chair, with a warm, snuggly blanket and a hot cup of tea (which will grow cold as I get engrossed in the book, forget to drink and refill it) especially during the Thanksgiving season and not get up until I've reached the end!
