"Locust Lane" by Stephen Amidon is off to an intriguing start! The cast of characters are vast and the plot starts off with several twists and turns. The story starts off with the prologue of Patrick, who accidently hits a dog on Locust Lane at 3:11 am. He believes that someone is hiding in the tree lined area watching him.
Danielle receives a visit from two detectives at her place of work. They came to inform her that her daughter, Eden, was murdered during the previous night.
Celia is in the middle of an extensive house remodel. She's already raised two sons, with the youngest heading to Dartmouth in the Fall. Her current husband, Jack, is a force to be reckoned with and her step-children are defiant.
Alice seems to have a drinking problem. She also appears to have trouble bonding with children, and a distant relationship with Geoff, her husband.
Michel owns a restaurant and has sworn Alice to keep their secret.
