What made me certain I wanted to read the rest of this book is just how gripping it is, right from the get go. The characters feel really dynamic and stand out, and their lives are full of possible secrets and intrigue.
The author's writing is also fantastic, lots of interesting takes and descriptive text. Each character that is introduced has their own unique voice that makes them feel real and interesting.
The cover is subtle but beautiful - I always enjoy covers that use nature in an appealing way.
