Here is the thing. There were some things that I didn't like in the book, but when I finished it, I just couldn't not give full 5 stars.
I will let slip the fact that reading German words that weren't translated was annoying, and it was hard to follow characters with German names. But this is nothing, because the whole story is just extraordinary.( At some point I just got used to it).
"Once upon a time there was a girl cols as winter, greedy as a king, lonely as an orphan. She was a liar, a thief, and a wicked maid..."
It takes so much imagination to come up with this story. So much was happening on the pages. We were introduced to so many interesting characters. Twists, surprises one after another. The story is dark, sometimes creepy. But it's also hopeful, beautiful, and funny.
This was a really amazing.
I love the illustrations inside, even though they are black and white, but they make the book so much more gorgeous.
