While I really enjoyed Little Thieves and was glad I could get an early copy, I also felt like some parts of it were forgettable. It got me out of a reading slump, but if you asked me to tell you very specific details about the plot, characters, or ending, I couldn't tell you.
I felt like this book suffered a lot with its pacing. It started to drag between the first chapters and middle. Towards the end is when it really started to pick up.
Aside from the negatives, I really loved the main character. She was feisty, but also incredibly vulnerable once she finally opened up to those around her. Even characters I initially hated, I ended up loving. The way Owen wove their relationships together was a thing of beauty. In fact, I felt like this book is as fantastic as it is due primarily to the character-building.
If Owen decides to write another book in this series, I'll definitely be picking it up. With her strong writing and excellent characters, she's made me a new fan of her work.
