Little Thieves starts out strong. We first meet Vanja, when her mother takes her to death and fortune. She is the thirteenth child of the thirteenth child and her mother sees her as bad luck. When the story picks up we encounter her again as a princess. But it seems there is much more going on. She is the notorious Penny Phantom of which no one knows the identity. About to commit an impossible crime she takes us through the tricks and deception she has used. She seems very smart and has also been given help from her godmother fortune. I like how we are seeing her side of the deception and the theft that is about to occur. We don't know why she is stealing or how she got to where she is. It will be interesting to read about what has happened in her life since her mother left her with fortune and death. Great start to a story. I hope to read this book!
