Reminiscent of the spellbinding tales of the Brothers’ Grimm!

Prinzessin (or Vanja as she was previously known) is taken in by two godmothers, Fortune and Death, on a sinister trip into the deep forest with her mother. Vanja, as the thirteenth child of a thirteenth child, is thought to bring certain doom and bad luck to her family, and her mother, especially, wants her gone from the family. The tale of what happens following the trade in the forest brings to mind long-forgotten stories of the brothers’ Grimm classic tales of literature. Very fascinating read!
