I've been looking forward to reading Little Thieves for most of 2021. The cover itself drew me in, with the gorgeous artwork and the bright red accent, and the description sealed the deal for being one of my most highly anticipated reads of the year. Normally, when I've been looking forward to reading a book and I enjoy it, I will say "it did not disappoint"... but Little Thieves went above and beyond "not disappointing". It surprised me. Honestly, allowing myself to read only the first 17 pages knowing full well that the book doesn't come out for another month was a special type of torture. In just a few short pages, Owen had me hooked. From the prologue's intrigue to Vanja's personality shining through from the start of Chapter 1, to the last line of the First Look ("This is the story of how I got caught"), Owen was able to draw me into the story immediately and have me wanting more. I'm not sure how I'll be able to wait another month before finishing this amazing story!
