I really enjoyed this first look! Vanja (or "Gisele" for now) has such a distinct voice already, and the style balances the whimsical, fairytale elements with her sharp wit and scheming ways super artfully. In addition, I think that the use of Death and Fortune as her godmothers is just such a cool concept, and the personifications of them are described in such a striking way. Not to mention that the way that Vanja thinks of her scheme as a card trick and we get to see this trick unfold from her perspective is just so fun and satisfying.
