I honestly enjoyed this sneak peek more than I thought I would. I'm not usually much for heist stories, but the beautiful writing and world building held my attention right away!
The story follows Vanja, who we learn was left by her mother when she was young to Fate and Death, and has since become quite the little thief. We meet with her again at seventeen in a heist situation. I am quite intrigued to find out what happened in the years in between and how she became who she is today. Also, the cliffhanger that this sneak peek ended on is just masterful!
The cover is just as stunning and detailed as Margaret Owen's writing and I can't wait to see what happens next!
