The opening was enough to draw me in. Fortune and Death are pretty compelling characters to start off the story with. Not to mention sacrificing your own child without a second thought.
I don't know the fairytale behind this, but I am interested to see how this plays out. Vanja is going to be an intriguing character to follow along with. The three different personas will surely keep the story interesting and moving along at a good pace. I was fully hooked by the last sentence that this will be a story about how she gets caught, not how she gets away.
