Very Eerie

The author did a great job of showing how exhausting it is having a new baby, especially in this case, where the main character, Lauren, has twins. I was really annoyed with the husband for not being more helpful. He could have hired a nurse or at least a cleaning lady to help Lauren at home for the first weeks.
Anyway, this book is a little different from what I read. I'm not into the paranormal-type stories (with witches or ghosts), which I didn't realize this was. I thought it was about a new mom who basically experiences depression or psychosis. I feel the story has elements of both "real" and supernatural, but it leans to the babies being changelings based on the eerie behavior and look of the babies.
I also loved the police detective's character. I loved how she stood up to her colleagues and boss. She was great.

This is an ARC that I received from Bookish First for review.
