Little Darlings was something that I put off reading for a while because of the heaviness of it. As someone who suffered from a crippling Post-Partum Depression, I knew this story would be as powerful as it was heartbreaking, and I was right. One of my worst fears played out on page (with a supernatural twist), but it was written so incredibly well that although the subject was heavy it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
One of the reasons I couldn't give the book 5 stars is because I still had several questions after I finished the book. This may have been intentional, but I really prefer to have my questions answered by the end. Despite this, I deeply connected to this book. It was so creepy and beautiful. I would definitely read from this author again.
