I am so glad I won this book! I’m not typically into a thriller type genre novel but this one hit home! I have a set of twin boys, which is the primary focus of this book. I appreciate the short commentary on the beginnings of Lauren and Patrick’s relationship, it helped get to “ in the now” parts of the novel! Patrick turned out to be a character I didn’t care for, my opinion of him from the start turned out to be exactly the type he was in the end! I enjoyed the dual stories, between Harper and the the couple Lauren and Patrick. I really felt Harpers story, it was heart grasping! Being a police officer is never an easy job! Harpers character really showed how mentally it can strain a person. Lauren’s start of the child rearing process is completely relatable to every mother, but her being a mother of multiples makes it even more relatable to us who share that story! My heart went out to Lauren! I’d recommend this book to even those, like myself, who aren’t typically thriller readers! This book was so good! I could hardly put it down!
