The writing is definitely good enough to keep my attention. A lot of new books don't have that, and put me and others off. The story itself is one of those stories that really keep you hooked. I don't typically read new books, but this I definitely want to finish. The cover is very woodsy and fits the impression of fairy tales nicely, although it could perhaps use something related to babies on it, but that's just my opinion.
