I’ve seen this book floating around on various social media platforms recently and attributed the buzz to it being optioned for film. I didn’t read too much of the synopsis, only enough to garner that it was a thriller and what I thought was a psychological thriller at that. And yes, it does look like a thriller with probably a bit of psychological mind games going on, but after reading the first look, it’s so much more.
I’ve always been fascinated by fairytales and fairie lore, specifically tales around changelings, and this looks like it’s going to be something along those lines. Although I’m not too sure if changelings is the proper term in this instance, but it certainly sounds that way. Either way, this sounds like a fantastic, creepy, goosebump-inducing read and it’s definitely moving to the top of my tbr.
