Anyone who has experienced childbirth or being around a hungry newborn, much less twins , can relate to the fatigue and neediness the woman displays. Her hearing sounds behind the curtain made me want to tiptoe over and peek at who, or what, was singing the eery songs. Once met, the crone, for what else can one call her, seems even more menacing as she says she wants to trade her twins for the just born ones. Sleep-deprived or hallucinating!? What could life hold for the twins and the family?
