Having a baby is hard work, as all women know, but having twins is even more difficult, especially getting accustomed to the care and feeding of them. That is where this strange, dark story begins. Lauren gives birth to twins and is striving to learn to care for them, exhausted beyond belief, when she hears a strange chant in the bed next to her. Thinking to get the woman quiet, she gets out of bed and shushes her. The woman has a strange request, i.e. exchange babies. Lauren’s response is the resounding “no” of a new mother who will protect her young at all costs. I thought that the first look portrayed the birth process for the mother very well, but the woman with the basket of rags who wanted to exchange babies was a bit far out there for me. This is the stuff that nightmares are made of and I am not a horror fan.
