Ursula Villarreal-Moura has a really beautiful writing style that I enjoyed a great deal. In particular, I liked the fact that the story was told both in the present day and in the main character's retelling of the (relatively) recent past. It was a very intriguing and powerful way for the plot to unfold, and it was interesting to see that despite knowing some aspects of how the relationship between the two main characters--Mateo and Tatum--ended, my attention was still completely held by the desire to understand how it happened. There was great character development, and a lot of relatability because even when the actual plot line was not something I had experienced, I still felt like I could understand why the character reacted like she did. As I mentioned, the writing style is really lovely, but it's still a very accessible read. I highly recommend that you give this book a try!
