I can't be the only one who is a bit confused by what exactly is going on at first. I think the shifting narrative made it difficult to understand who was exactly speaking. I'm just confused. However, I will say it was intriguing. The beginning did grab my attention, mostly because I was trying to figure out what was going on. That curiosity might keep some people reading, but I found myself getting bored after the first 2 or 3 chapters. I'm honestly not sure how exactly I feel about it. Maybe it just isn't something for me.
I think the cover fits the story, but I personally don't like it. I think it is boring. I wouldn't stop to look at the book based on the cover alone.
