The writing style, in which the main character, Tatum, tells the story through a letter to her ex-romantic partner was unique and it immediately grabbed my attention! I liked the social commentary on racism and racial discrimination, especially the part where Tatum mentioned how problematic it is when people try to change or anglicize foreign/ethnic names. I’d like to see these themes further explored as the story progresses. I like the story so far, and can’t wait to read the rest!
