Like Happiness is a a dual POV. Our narrator, Tatum, starts us off with a letter to an author with whom she was infatuated with and had some sort of relationship. The other timeline is present day where she gets a call from a journalist about said author being accused of sexual harrassment. Tatum states right away that she has a photographic memory and you can feel that when you read the story. It is heavily detailed and reads exactly that way. It already has thoughts and comments about literature and racism found at a high intellectual level.
