An intriguing and beautifully written debut!
Like Happiness reels you in from the start, I enjoyed that the author quickly sets up the dual timelines from the start, delineating between the current timeline and one in the future where the protagonist reaches out to a man she had a complex relationship with. The author's writing style is beautiful and descriptive, easily pulling you into the protagonist's perspective. I'm excited to see where the author takes the story, I can already tell there will be a lot of depth and complexity to the story that unfolds.
Also, love the colors and references to NYC in the cover!
