Let me start off by saying that this isn't a bad book, it's just not what I thought it would be. I think I was expecting more quotable things, something like that. I'm not sure, but maybe I'm just not the right person for this particular book. It had aot of different hip hop and rap artists in it, and each story/lesson was a few pages long. However, I didn't even know who a majority of these people were. This is probably better suited for someone who is a bigger fan of today's hip hop and rap genre, as they would definitely be more familiar with more, if not all, of the artists featured in this book.
The cover is eye catching, there's enough written by different people where many could enjoy this as a whole, or just to slim thru to read more about artists they are familiar with and like. It may be a good addition to a school library, something different to get students engaged in reading something. Someone who has a teen who likes this particular genre may also enjoy this book.
