Young Adult thriller genre was sorely lacking until Lies You Never Told Me hit the shelves.
First lets start with, this is a debut novel and it is fantastic. This is a Young Adult thriller, and unlike its shelf mates, it feels fleshed out and carries depth. Jennifer Donaldson has saved this subset genre for me!
Told from multiple point of views we follow several characters and the decisions they make, good and bad. Mostly bad. Even though the stories are not fully connected I couldn't help but be interested in them. The drama created was intense and kept you flipping pages.
I was so anxious for the characters, so invested. So many questions, this wasn’t a neatly wrapped up story and I need more!
