Thank you to Bookish First and Jennifer Donaldson for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Lies You Told Me revolves around several main characters - Elyse, Gabe, and Katherine. It tells the story of forbidden love and delves deep into teenage angst. I was immediately drawn into the story and could not put it down as I wanted to know what happened next. I felt as if the main characters had depth to them and had both strengths and flaws. And I did not see the twist/ending coming (and I usually can predict these things) though I wish the author had delved a bit more into the aftermath of events (but this is just my own issue since the author did end the book well in reality). All in all, an engaging and fast paced read which I definitely recommend.
