Lies You Never Told Me is a young adult thriller. It is told in alternating views- Gabe's and Elyse's. Even though I figured out how the two characters were connected in the first few chapters along with many of the twists, this book still managed to hold my interest. I appreciated that the story wasn't frivolous and had some very important topics embedded in it. The main one was domestic abuse. I really sympathized with the characters and while some of the story was pretty farfetched, I never found myself rolling my eyes at its outlandish parts. Lies You Never Told Me is a really quick read that I would recommend. Again, it is not as developed as some adult thrillers but held my attention nonetheless. I would recommend it.
