The marketing team on this book did a fantastic job. The book was well hyped and I was incredibly excited to get a copy and to read it. Unfortunately, that was where the excitement ended. Though the book was not bad at all, it also wasn't that good. It left me feeling disappointed and let down. I felt like the author was trying to make something amazing happen but it fell short. I do think that if I was a younger reader, however, this book might seem a lot better and I would be very willing to make it available to my teen readers in hopes that they enjoy it. I think teens would find the plot engaging, the characters authentic, and the twist at the end less predictable. Overall, though, this is not a book I would pick to read again.
