I loved how the seemingly separate stories between Elyse and Gabe came together in the end in a way I definitely didn't see coming til I got towards the end. They were both likable characters and there was plenty of forbidden romance going on to keep you glued to the pages. Elyse is a girl used to playing second fiddle to her best friend so her life is changed when she gets chosen to play Juliet in the school play. You want to root for her since she has to work so hard at her young age, taking care of her drug addicted mother and having to work to make the money in the house. It's hard to blame her for falling for her teacher, a man that sees her talent and beauty. Meanwhile Gabe escapes from his manipulative girlfriend and falls for the nice, quiet girl in the school who once came to his rescue. They both have to deal with his ex trying to get revenge/win him back and her controlling father who forbids her from entering relationships. It's definitely an addictive read, if anything you'll want to keep reading just to see what Sasha does next, girl is crazy and surprisingly meticulous when it comes to evil plans. She's a bit like Regina George from mean girls, but much worse.
