Lies You Never Told Me is a YA novel with the best of both worlds, mature enough for adults to thoroughly enjoy but still appropriate for the younger crowd. This novel is a puller from page one. It's dark and atmospheric and the characters are developed and complex. I'm fascinated by the dynamic between Elyse and her friend and the potential for what's going on with this drama teacher, and devastatingly worried about Gabe and the crackpot girlfriend Sasha. It takes a talented author to write such a sinister character in so few pages. After receiving a copy of the full novel from Bookish First I'm glad to say I was 100% not disappointed. This book completely delivers on the page turning thrills offered in the First Look, and if anything just got dramatically better. Fantastically written book, leaps age demographics, and kept me hooked from start to finish.
