The cover of Lies You Never Told Me immediately caught my interest with its dark background, light lettering and mysterious design. The parallel stories of Elyse and Gabe are described in alternating chapters that are clearly separated so as not to confuse the reader. We get to know each person individually, their friends, and their frienemies/enemies. The author, Jennifer Donaldson, brings both Elyse and Gabe to life through first person narritive. Each is likeable and their lives are relatable to the reader. The choices each makes and how it leads to the final conclusion is something this reader is intriguingly interested to learn. I look forward to reading more!
