This quickly hooks you in from the start. Not too much media out there centers around New York's elite, but any that promise to do so already have me intrigued! You can feel the cutthroatness from the characters who grew up in this world make it especially exciting to read from their perspective as they vie for the grand prize. Yet not all things are easy as Terri Tasso comes onto the scene, one that is entirely unfamiliar to her as she's from Queens. Within the first chapter we're already thrust and immersed into the world and caught up in the secrets and lies. A mother is missing, a suspicious but caring best friend that's building up the courage to tell her friend they don't want the same things. And overall a ball coming up that will determine their relationships, careers, and near futures, forever. I'm thrilled to see what else will be uncovered and the secrets that will come to light.
