This is definitely your typical YA murder mystery, and while I had hoped for a better, more interesting resolution, it had me hanging onto every word written anyway. There were so many mysteries woven into this book that were connected together in the most unexpected way. From how Bernie and Tori are connected to the secret Isobel was keeping, to why Bernie's mother had disappeared.

You might be able to guess at some of these mysteries, but the connections between them all was very well executed. Jessica had the characters wound so tightly in separate mysteries that came together quite seamlessly. And all the while the jumps between the days leading up to someone's death, to the Legacy Ball where it all came to its conclusion, was brilliant. It added perfectly to the tension of how, why and who died?

Thanks to Bookish First, Penguin Teen and the author for the ARC copy of this book. I loved the reading experience and was on the edge of my seat with every single revelation.
