I am a big fan of Jessica Goodman after reading They Wish They Were Us last year and when I saw this book I jumped at the chance to read it. Legacies is a mysterious teen drama with vibes reminiscent of Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liars, rather than a thriller, which I'm okay with. However, there are many intriguing mysteries perfectly blended into the main whodunit and I love the campy gossipy parts just as much as the Mystery! It's not the most complex and hard hitting book out there but it doesn't set out to be. It's a great beach read that you.can throw in your bag and pull out and get sucked in immediately. I think I was the perfect person to read this book because I grew up watching Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl and this felt like returning to a great (if totally chaotic) friendship. I'm excited to see what Jessica writes next because I'll be picking it up!
