I really got sucked into this one and binged it in less than 24 hours. They'll Never Catch Us is still my favorite Goodman book, but this is a close second.

Everyone at Excelsior Prep is vying for a space in the Legacy Club--an ultra elite New York society that practically guarantees power and wealth through it's exclusive connections. The Legacies follows the narratives of three Excelsior Prep seniors--Tori Tasso, Bernie Kaplan and Isobel Rothcroft--as they become initiated into the Club.

Normally, I shy away from thrillers that relies on the rich people behaving badly trope because I'm over it, but this had so many interesting nuances and sneaky twists that I couldn't stop reading. I will say though that there were a lot of twists that were very evident but Goodman kept repeating the clues over and over again, like she didn't trust the reader to make the connections on her own. I wanted to be like, we're smart, we got it, don't worry. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this one and it gets a rare half star rating. Three and a half stars, rounded up to four on Goodreads.
