This first look just wasn't doing it for me. Something about the writing style just wasn't meshing with me. I can absolutely see this first novel appealing to younger YA readers, but it just wasn't convincing me to keep turning pages. The cover is interesting, but I wouldn't read more of this novel to find out what happens next.
