This was a good introduction to the book. I like how it wasn't uber descriptive. Sometimes thrillers tend to be long and flowery in the beginning,so I appericate that it wasn't. What characters I was introduced to in this sample seems to be solidly described and it seem like the plot would move pretty quick,. I find it interesting that the POV is from a Speech therapist, it's a nice change of pace from doctors/detectives/ civilians that seem to mainly narrate thrillers these days. I wonder how that would play out? i also would be intersted how that kid survived in the woods? Did he have someone teach him or was it all through life or death situations? It is an intersting dynamic between a speech therapist and a (Selectively?) mute child/young man.
