Wow, what an opener! This book hooks you from the very first sentence. I feel like I read so few books these days that I'm hooked that early on and when I am, I know it's going to be a great book!
I have never read anything by Mindy Mejia before but her writing style has me instantly intrigued to ready more. I'm fascinated by the characters and where this story will go, I think most people would agree after reading this first look.
So many questions that I can't wait to have answered. Why is Lucas at the facility, is he really dangerous? Where did he go? Is Maya in danger?
I didn't love the cover and it didn't grab my attention right away, even the synopsis didn't sell me but boy am I glad I read that first look because now I know this is going to be a book I want at the top of my TBR!
