The first chapter of Leave No Trace is a whirlwind... in the best way possible! I was immediately captivated by the story and I'm already desperate to know what happens in the rest of the book.
From moment one the reader is dropped into a tense situation when Maya, a new therapist, finds herself at odds with her very first patient. As the chapter goes on, the intensity between the two characters only increases.
I have never read anything by author Mindy Mejia before but if her writing is always this thrilling, I will be looking to read much more from her - including this book. It typically takes me several chapters to become invested in committing to a book, but with Leave No Trace, it only took 9 pages.
