I can honestly say these first few pages has captured my attention. My theory is Lucas had no human interaction for the past 10 years, which is why he isn't able to do certain things such as talk well, or even interact properly. It's possible that this behavior is made out of fear, if not abandonment, or both. I admire Maya's persistent need to reach out to Lucas, although it is her job, she seems to genuinely care for him and want to help him heal from the events he has encountered over the years. This can be because she, herself, was abandoned by a parent. Oh! I also have mixed feelings about the dad. I'm not sure if he's alive or not.. Furthermore, I don't know if I even want him to be alive.
