I fell in love with Mindy Mejia with her first book, and this is an excellent follow up. Told in a similar style, I found that her work with bouncing storylines improved, and her characters were more pronounced and defined this time around. This novel was a compulsory read, and was extremely intense but easy to get into. I probably finished it over the course of a week, and I shouldn't have been reading it before bed, as it was hard to put down. I'd highly recommend this novel. It fits nicely in several genres, which makes it more accessible in my opinion. Though I consume psychological thrillers voraciously, some people don't, so the fact that it can also be read as a mystery is positive. 10/10 would recommend.
