The first glimpse Maya has of Lucas is that he isn't this lost boy as everyone thinks but a young man. Maya as a new therapist has been tasked with what can only be thought of as the impossible. To find out Lucas' story and in order to get his story, she was to get him to talk. Well, their first encounter does NOT go well at all. Stan, the orderly ends of injured and Maya, herself is used as a human shield so Lucas can get the keys to escape the psychiatric hospital.
