The time frame of her education just doesn't add up. She's 23 and already has a Master's Degree AND she had worked as orderly prior to doing it (she would have had to begin working before she was 18 years old (and I doubt that's even legal for a psychiatric orderly). That's a lot of FULL TIME schooling, so unless she's a super genius I don't see how she would have realistically obtained that degree already and worked. That type of thing just drives me crazy.
I found the writing super descriptive, almost more telling than showing. As for the excerpt, it was okay. I get that it's just a book, but there's no way she would have been sent into that room alone with a violent offender while the orderly watches through the door window.
