This first chapter just pulled me right into the story. I want to know more about Lucas and why he isn't speaking. What has made him this way? Will Maya be able to make a breakthrough with him? There definitely seems like there will be some kind of deeper connection between Maya and Lucas and it would be interesting to find out what that is.
