I found this to be a very interesting introduction. You have a young speech therapist who admits to feeling a certain amount of imposter syndrome, which is a very hot topic among young adults in this time. She says that her recent advancement "still hadn't sunk in." With that, comes a great deal of uncertainty. She shows confidence going into the patient's room, but her fears are realized pretty quickly. I am very interested to see how that experience affects her confidence in her abilities. I think young adults could get a lot out of this if they are first starting out in a career. I believe that Lucas represents our fears of failing at major challenges. If you aren't interested in exploring that theme further, then it still seems like a thrilling read. I will definitely be looking for this as soon as it is available!
