The little snippet we're given has me wanting to know the answers to so many questions - what happened ten years ago? where is the father? where is Lucas now? how is Maya going to help? I have no doubt that Mindy Mejia has described the wilderness beautifully and that the reader will be taken there to witness the horrors that lurk within. I've been waiting for her next book after devouring Everything You Want Me to Be. I'm excited!
