There's action and mystery from the get-go. I'm left yearning to learn more about this Lucas character and how Maya will reach him. Maya seems like a tough cookie, so this looks like a fun read with a competent female protagonist. The cover looks like the art for a survivalist video game, but if Lucas was lost in the woods I suppose that makes some sense.
