Since The Deep End of the Ocean, I've been obsessed with "lost kids that come back later" stories, or, a la Life After Beth or Pet Semetary,"people returning from being dead" stories. I love that this one is narrated by a mental health worker. We start the story as she attempts to speak with Lucas, who has just been brought in from some unknown horror in the woods after being presumed dead. This seems like it will probably go a little in the heartwarming direction for me, but I am still interested in reading more.
